Grade 10 Stainless Steel AISI440C

Grade 10 diameter tolerance: +0.00005:/-0.00004"
Sphericity: 0.00001"

These balls provide maximum hardness with good corrosion resistance to fresh water, steam, crude oil, gasoline, alcohol, food environment and perspiration.  440C material is suitable for application requiring high wear resistance and strength at elevated temperatures.

Grade 25 Stainless Steel AISI52100

Grade 25 diameter tolerance: +/-0.001"
Sphereicity: 0.000025"

Balls made from E52100 are considered bearing quality because of the high carbon content, which gives the balls a high hardness.  This steel is often chromed stell as chromium is the the primary alloy element.  Chromium makes these balls very wear resistant.
